Dr. Graham Wong is a consultant psychiatrist and the Medical Director of the Epworth Hospital Mental Health Unit and the Director of the Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) Service in Melbourne. Dr. Wong explains how ECT (formerly referred to as “electroshock therapy”) is used in a modern context in the treatment of severe Major Depressive Disorder.
